Welcome to Mina Sky Jewellery’s gold market update for Monday July 27. We have lovely news today. Gold has climbed back above $4,100 per ounce, up more than 1%, after the US-Iran fighting paused over the weekend and oil prices fell. Prices are ticking up on hopes that the conflict may be calming — but they remain well below January’s record, so there is still beautiful value for anyone looking to buy. Here is our fresh and friendly guide.

Today’s prices:

24K: ~$131.50/gram | 22K: ~$120.55/gram | 21K: ~$115.10/gram | 18K: ~$98.65/gram

What lifted gold today? The US paused its strikes on Iran, and for a third night in a row neither side attacked. This calmed worries about oil supplies, so oil prices fell sharply. Lower oil means less inflation, which eases pressure on the US Federal Reserve to raise interest rates — and that helps gold. So, for the first time this year, the calming of the war lifted gold rather than pushing it down.

What this means for you: Gold is still roughly 27% below its January record. A 50-gram gold necklace costs approximately $2,400 less than at that peak. But with prices now rising on peace hopes, this may be a lovely moment to choose a piece before they climb further.

The designs defining 2026 — beautiful right now:

Sculptural gold — fluid cuffs, wave-shaped stackable rings, and arc earrings with artistic, flowing silhouettes.

Bezel-set gemstones — stones held in smooth, continuous metal rims for a sleek, modern look.

Celestial motifs — stars, moons, and planets in delicate pendants, perfect for layering.

Coloured gemstones — vivid sapphires, emeralds, and warm citrines in minimal gold settings.

Feather-light everyday chains — designed for comfortable daily wear.

A note on the wider market: Silver also rose today to around $59.27 — the whole precious metals family is joining this hopeful turn.

Our friendly guidance:

For weddings, engagements, and gifts: value is still lovely and prices are rising — a good moment to buy.

For those building a collection: buying while prices remain below January’s peak means better value on every beautiful piece.

For long-term savers: central banks bought a net 41 tonnes of gold in May, and a record 45% plan to buy more this year. Many analysts see gold recovering toward $4,500 to $4,900 by year-end if peace holds.

A note of balance: This is a pause, not a formal ceasefire, and the Federal Reserve meets Wednesday — so prices could shift. Please confirm the live price with us before purchasing.

Gold at $4,095 is up roughly 19% compared to a year ago. Mina Sky Jewellery is delighted to help you find something truly special at a lovely price.
